Wayne Rooney competed his move to Washington’s DC United on Thursday.
The former Manchester United and Everton forward is set to make his debut on July 14 when DC open their new 20,000 capacity stadium.
However, he still has England on his mind as he went to watch England vs Belgium World Cup match just hours after signing the deal.
DC's general manager Jason Levien said: "This is a seminal moment for our fans and organisation. Wayne is a global soccer icon and his presence at DC United will elevate our product on the pitch and soccer, as a whole, in our city and in this country."
Rooney’s side lost to Belgium 1-0 and finished second in Group G.
