Virgil van Dijk was in Marcus Rashford’s pocket, claims Adrian Durham

Football journalist and broadcaster Adrian Durham has told he was impressed by Marcus Rashford's game during Sunday's Manchester United vs Liverpool clash. The United forward has been the center of criticism for the lack of goals this season. However, he could score another goal during the last match against Liverpool, which led the Red Devils to 1-1 draw. Durham admired not only Rashford's goal, but also his huge struggle with Liverpool centre-back Virgil Van Dijk. He told talkSPORT: “They went through his [Rashford’s] pockets afterwards… Few sweets, wad of cash, couple of phone numbers…Virgil van Dijk was in there as well, extraordinary. Left him on his backside and got the better of him, worried him. I doubt Virgil van Dijk slept last night, Rashford caused him that many problems. He worked so hard, you could see he was run into the ground when he was taken off. He was taken off when they were 1-0 up and what do you know, they didn’t go onto win it. I thought he was really good and answered a lot of critics but he needs to be more consistent.”
