Unai Emery rates Arsenal’s top-four chances after shock defeat to Wolves

Despite Arsenal’s shock 3-1 defeat to Wolves Unai Emery is still hopeful that they will finish in the top four this season. Goals from Ruben Neves, Matt Doherty and Diogo Jota in the first-half set Wolves on their way to a 3-1 win over the Gunners. The results means Arsenal stay in fifth place in the table, one point behind Chelsea, and now need their rivals to slip up. "We are disappointed but we need also to look at all the season. It’s not in our hands but we need to prepare the best possible match on Sunday," said Emery, who faces Leicester next. We started at the beginning [of the season] last after two matches in the Premier League and little by little we came back and took chances to be in the top four. That’s our target but it’s difficult. "This is the moment to think that all these players worked to have this opportunity. We lost today and Sunday but we have two ways into the Champions League." He added: "I usually am very critical with myself. I’m angry with myself. First I am thinking the solution: think about Sunday and take the possibility to come back with our best performance. "When we win we win together and when we lose we lose together. In general we have the possibility to be in the top four. I want to say to the players and supporters we are continuing and will take the opportunity on Sunday."
