Unai Emery explains why he took off Ozil

Arsenal coach Unai Emery was asked if he regretted taking off Mesut Ozil during the second half against Brighton & Hove Albion. Arsenal failed to beat their opponents despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s early goal after Alexandre Lacazette’s assist. Mesut Ozil was substituted before the second half. Alex Iwobi came off the bench but failed to show impact, as Arsenal have lost 2 points in the race for the top-4 places. “No (asked if he regretted on taking off Ozil). It was only tactically. We did before, in other matches also change the idea from the first half with other players. And today I did it with Mesut, that is only tactically, not another problem.” Emery said during the press-conference. (via football.london). Arsenal will face Liverpool at Anfield on December 30.
