Tyson Fury has given praise to Anthony Joshua for his rematch win over Andy Ruiz Jr.
Joshua regained three heavyweight titles by beating champion Ruiz on December 7, six months on from the shock knockout defeat first time around.
When asked for his opinion on the fight, Fury told
Behind The Gloves:
“Fair play to AJ, he outboxed a fella who knocked him out before. It takes a lot of guts and boxing ability to do that. I thought he looked fantastic.
“I’ve heard the criticism by the fans and everybody, but this game is about winning. I don’t care if you win by an inch or a mile, by a knockout or by one point.
“I’d rather win and stink the place out than lose in a very entertaining fight. So fair play to Joshua for doing that, congratulations.”
