Tyrone Mings
has admitted that it was really strange to think that Tottenham's Harry Kane would be his teammate for England on Monday, under 24 hours after he played against him.
Spurs picked up a 0-2 win against Villa over the weekend, with both Carlos Vinicius and Harry Kane netting for their side.
And Kane was obviously in direct competition with Mings during the contest.
When speaking
on the ITV Football Podcast, Aston Villa defender admitted that he enquired about Kane’s plans for international duty at full-time.
“I asked if he was going all the way back to London to then travel back up the next day and he said ‘no’", said Mings.
"I think he stayed up after the game.
"It is a strange thing to play so late on a Sunday and then meet up on a Monday, after what happened!”
