Harvey Elliott has taken to Instagram to send a message as he continues to recover from a serious ankle injury. Elliott suffered the injury during Liverpool's clash with Leeds United back in September. Taking to Instagram, Elliott posted a video with a caption: "All about persevering hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas!! I’ll be back soon… miss you reds ❤️." He received many messages one of which was from Backburn Rovers' Tyrhys Dolan, who took to the comments section and replied: "The return is near❤️."
Elliott spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Rovers.
