TWO Liverpool players set to miss the pre-season clashes while in rehab

Liverpool players Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are set to miss the pre-season clashes in Asia as they are undergoing rehab treatment after injuries. 

The 18-year-old Bajcetic sustained an adductor injury in March which led him to miss 12 league games in his debut season. The young midfielder made a move to Anfield in 2020, went through the ranks of under-18 in 2021 and got his breakthrough in first team in 2022. 

Thiago Alcantara, on the other hand, suffered a hip injury in April.The Spain international missed 6 matches towards the end of the Premier League season 2022/23. The fitness issues have continues for Alcantara since then. 

Recent reports indicate that Liverpool might face Alcantara's departure during the current transfer window. Sport disclosed that the 32-year-old is considering a return to La Liga.

The same report further suggests that several clubs from the Saudi Pro League and Turkey have expressed interest in signing the talented Spain international.
