Liverpool have cooled their interest in signing Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes according to Ben Jacobs.
Despite the Portugal international's promising performances at the Molineux, the Reds have reportedly shifted their focus to other priorities in that position.
Discussing via his CaughtOffside column, the transfer expert suggested that Jurgen Klopp is now confident about securing the transfer of Brighton's Alexis Mac Allister.
The Mersysiders have been intensely linked with the Wanderers' ace since January in desperate need of a midfield overhaul, however as Jacobs reported the 24-year-old isn't in the German manager's top priority list anymore.
“Matheus Nunes is another player to watch this summer.
“Earlier this year he looked quite likely to leave for Liverpool this summer, but he’s no longer their priority with plenty of other midfielders on the market.
“Julen Lopetegui would love to try and keep him, but it’s a long window and I still expect Premier League interest.”
