Mark Schwarzer believes Norway national team has two "top-class" players Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland as he questions the team's failed chance to qualify for the Euro 2024.
For some reason, the duo has't been able to achieve the success that might be expected with such talent.
During a discussion on the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Schwarzer found it difficult to explain why a team with both Haaland and Odegaard hasn't been able to secure qualification. He described the pair as arguably two of the best players in the world and mentioned the £30 million Arsenal midfielder, referring to Odegaard.
“Let’s talk about Norway, we always talk about them being underachievers, Wales are a great example of the past with Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, but what is it with Norway, they have arguably two of the best players in the world right now with Odegaard and Haaland, but Haaland barely got a touch of the ball," Schwarzer said, via TBR Football.
"What is it with those two top-class players not being able to string performances and results together,” he added.
