The Formula One 2024 season is over as Max Verstappen was crowned champion.
The new season will be filled a lot more drama and excitement. So let's dive in and see who could potentially win the title.
TOP 10 Formula One Drivers 2025
George Russell
George Russell has yet to win a WDC. Russell has won overall two races in his career with his last win being at Australian Grand Prix 2024.
In 2024, Russell has so far recorded 192 points and is 6th in the driver standings.
Carlos Sainz
Williams announced the signing of Carlos Sainz after he lost his sit at Ferrari. Sainz signed a two-year deal with Williams until the end of 2026 “with options to extend.”
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton claimed British Grand Prix win in 2024 which was his first win in 945 day. After the announcement that Hamilton is joining Ferrari, everyone is waiting to see how he and Leclerc will do in 2025.
Charles Leclerc
2024 was notable for Charles Leclerc as he claimed victories both in Monaco and Monza. Leclerc is tipped to win the World Championship, however, he has yet to claim it.
From 2025, Leclerc will partner with Lewis Hamilton. A new era for Ferrari will begin.
So far, the Scuderia aren't where they are expected to be.
Oscar Piastri
Piastri and Lando Norris had an impressive run during the 2024 season. Norris is close to claiming his first ever WDC, while Piastri recorded his first two wins of his career this season with wins in Hungarian Grand Prix and Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Piastri won the Chinese Grand Prix and is currently 3rd in the drivers championship.
Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen could claim his fourth in a row World Championship title in 2024 and it could come at Las Vegas GP. He is tipped to win the WDC in 2025 as well and face competition from Ferrari duo Hamilton and Leclerc as well as McLaren boys.
Red Bull kicked off the new season on a bad note, but Verstappen managed to win in Japan from pole position and cut the gap between him and Norris at the top of the F1 standings.
Lando Norris
Lando Norris had an impressive 2024 season. He came close to winning his first ever World Championship. Norris claimed his first ever career win in Miami and then he also won Singapore GP and Netherlands GP.
Norris currently leads the drivers championship after three races, however, Verstappen won the race in Japan and now just one point separates them at the top.
