"Too much quality": Michael Owen states his prediction for Newcastle v Manchester City

Michael Owen has given his prediction for the upcoming Premier League match between Newcastle vs Manchester City. The Magpies are currently in 10th place in the relegation zone, while City are leading the league table with 41 points. Both clubs are hoping to have a successful game, however, Owen back's Pep Guardiola's team to celebrate a win over the rivals. "I didn’t think Newcastle played badly at Anfield but it was the same old story for them. I never worry about them scoring goals, but they concede too many soft goals. I’m certain that Eddie Howe’s priority in January will be to get some defenders in the squad," the pundit said (via Metro UK). "City were exceptional against Leeds. When they play like that, they are the best team in the world. It was good to see De Bruyne look back to his best. He’s not quite got going this season but maybe this will be just what he needed. "I think Newcastle can get a goal in this one. The fans will be really up for this game and that could inspire them. City will have too much quality though and get a few of their own. 3-1 City."
