Pep Guardiola has made an admission about Arsenal following the clash against Newcastle United.
Despite the goalless draw with the Magpies at the Emirates, Mikel Arteta's side remain clear at the top of the table with an eight-point gap above second-placed Manchester City who are yet to face Chelsea tonight.
On January 3rd, for the first time this season, the Premier League leaders need a clash without scoring, however, managing to maintain their unbeaten run at home
The City manager believes that his team must deal with the added pressure from the Gunners and fellow city rival Manchester United as neither of them was predicted to provide a major threat at the start of the season.
"I don’t know what is going to happen in the future but when you play [them] the smell of the history of Arsenal has to be there. The advantage of them and Manchester United right now is nobody has to win the Premier League for 20 points ahead in November like Man City has to - and this is sometimes a big problem.
"The advantage of Arsenal is he [Arteta] has not to win the Premier League from 20 points in front in November. The way they played against Newcastle again impressed me a lot. They dropped two points but they didn’t drop the quality [with which] they played. This is my feeling." stated the Spanish manager via Manchester Evening News.
