The Premier League manager claims he wouldn’t trade his striker for Haaland

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has declared that he would not trade his skilled striker Ivan Toney with Erling Haaland.

In April, speculations started that Newcastle United were considering a move for Toney. Fast forward to May 1, it was reported that the former Newcastle striker is interested in returning to St. James’ Park for the upcoming season.

The Brentford boss on the other hand, is keen to extend the cooperation with Toney and has recently praised him by saying that he would "of course not swap" the 27-year-old for Erling Haaland. The Englishman has scored an impressive set of 20 goals for Brentford in the Premier League.

While Toney would face competition from Alexander Isak in Newcastle's squad, he is skilled at playing in transition situations and could bring a lot to the team. This addition could allow the Magpies for even more domination in counter-attacks, as he is not just a traditional No.9 striker.

The Manchester United striker Haaland set a new record for the most goals scored in a single Premier League by scoring his 35th league goal of the season in a match against West Ham.
