Ten Hag transfer demands after Champions League qualification

After Manchester United earned a ticket to the Champions League with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea last night, their manager Erik ten Hag issued a demand to sign "better players."

Acknowledging the importance of their upcoming title challenge, the Dutchman is sure that the squad at Old Trafford needs to be strengthened in the upcoming season. United is in search of a new striker, a midfielder and at least one defender.

"It's difficult to say in this moment, you have to see now how you come out of the transfer window but if I see now we need more," Ten Hag stressed via Manchester Evening. "But I don't have so much patience, that is one of my mistakes", he added.

Some of the top targets in Manchester United's wishlist are Mason Mount from Chelsea, Tottenham's captain Harry Kane and West Ham captain Declan Rice. Recently, some talks also indicate that the Red Devils have been advancing to secure Napoli center-back Kim Min-jae's services.

Ten Hag expressed his desire to compete for the Champions League title and saying that while the Top Four spot they acquired is not and underratet place, they still want need to improve to stand a chance in the higher league.

"Now we are far away, so we have a lot of work to do, we've made progress with this team, with this squad but we need better players if we want to compete for the highest," concluded the Dutch manager.
