Surprise Manchester United player has offered himself to Barcelona

Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek has offered himself to Barcelona to replace Gavi who is currently sidelined.

According to Sport, there is a possibility for Barcelona to pursue a short-term move for the Dutchman. The opportunity arises as La Liga giants' star player Gavi is sidelined due to an ACL injury, projecting his return after the conclusion of the current season.

This injury has created a void in the central midfield, especially in a more advanced and attacking position, a role that Van de Beek could potentially fill for the Blaugrana.

Van de Beek rose to prominence as one of the promising young midfielders in Europe after delivering standout performances for Ajax during their memorable Champions League campaign in 2018-19, where they secured victories against formidable opponents like Real Madrid and Juventus.

In contrast to his compatriots Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt, who departed the Dutch club in the subsequent summer following their shared ascent to stardom, Van de Beek chose to remain with Ajax for another season before eventually making a move to Manchester United.

Now, the 26-year-old is considered an outcast among the Red Devils and could use the opportunity to flourish in his career away from Old Trafford.
