Supercomputer has made a prediction on the upcoming Champions League match between Manchester United and Bayern Munich. The two sides are set to face each other in the European top tier on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils face the challenge of securing a victory to keep slim hopes alive for a top-two finish. United's historical record on Matchday 6 has seen wins in two of the last nine seasons, both at home, against Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013-14 and CSKA Moscow in 2017-18. A win guarantees United UEFA Europa League football, but a defeat would place them at the bottom of Group A, a rare occurrence for Premier League clubs in the Champions League group stage.
Bayern remain unbeaten in 39 UEFA Champions League group-stage games, with their last loss dating back to the 2017-18 season against Paris Saint-Germain. Their exceptional Champions League group stage record includes a goalless draw with Copenhagen on Matchday 5, marking the only game in which they failed to score in their last 39 matches. They are also unbeaten in their last 19 away group stage games and have won their last eight on the road, setting records in Champions League history.
The Opta supercomputer predicts a 25.8% chance of Manchester United winning against Bayern Munich, who hold a 50.5% chance.
