Sokratis reveals Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang persuaded him to move to Arsenal

Arsenal new signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos has revealed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang called him for many times and convinced him to join Arsenal. The Greece international officially moved to Arsenal on Monday becoming Arsenal third summer signing. ‘I spoke [to Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang] a lot of times,’ Sokratis told Arsenal Player. ‘They have said the best about this club, that it is one big family, and of course they called me, not every day, but a lot of times, to tell me to come here. ‘Yes it is strange [to be reunited with his former teammates], but it is also very beautiful that I come to one team where there are two players that I was together with for a number of years.’ The former Dortmund trio arrived at the Bundesliga club in the summer of 2013. Sokratis played alongside Mkhitaryan for three seasons before the latter left to join Manchester United with Aubameyang heading to the Emirates last January. The trio is reunited now in Arsenal, so their performances could be very interesting.
