An unnamed Chelsea player expressed frustration after being targeted by club owner Todd Boehly after the match with Brighton.
On April 15, Brighton claimed victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The visiting team put on an impressive display of skill and determination to secure the win, much to the disappointment of the home crowd.
According to The Guardian, after the 1-2 home loss to Brighton, Boehly “singled out” a specific player inside the dressing room to express his dissatisfaction. It is believed that the player in question is a senior and “has signed for a large fee in the last 12 months”.
Boehly was disappointed with the team's performance, but his ultimate aim was to inspire and encourage the players ahead of the most significant game of the season.
Reportedly, the unidentified member of the squad appeared to be upset and “disgruntful” during yesterday’s training ahead of the match with Real Madrid.
The La Liga champions will travel to West London to face the Blues, amid the increasing risks of the latter not qualifying for Europe.
