Roma are reportedly getting ready to line up a bid for Liverpool’s out-of-favour defender Dejan Lovren.
The 30-year-old declared himself as one of the best defenders in the world after helping Croatia reach the final of the World Cup in Russia in 2018, where they lost 4-2 to France.
However, currently Lovren is seem to have a less play time, as head coach Jurgen Klopp has preferred to go with Joel Matip or Joe Gomez with Virgil van Dijk in central defence.
Lovren has only one year left on his current contract so it seems the Reds are willing to let him go, as this season he has made only nine appearances for the Merseyside club.
And according to
Gazzetta dello Sport (via
Sport Witness), the Reds' defender can be perfect for Roma, as they are looking for a cheap deal and could sign him for €5million.
The report also claims that if Liverpool are willing to deal at such a price, the Serie A side will still need to persuade Lovren to accept a contract worth a maximum of €3million a year.
