Riyad Mahrez sends seven-word message following Liverpool win in EFL Cup

Riyad Mahrez has taken to Twitter to react to Manchester City's EFL Cup win over Liverpool.

City faced the Reds in the Carabao Cup round of 16 on Thursday, December 22, 2022 following the World Cup break and celebrated a 3-2 victory.

Erling Haaland scored just 9 minutes into the game, meanwhile, Fabio Carvalho equalized in the 20th minute.

In the second half, Mahrez put City ahead but a minute later Mohamed Salah equalized for the Reds. While Nathaniel Ake scored the winner for City in the 58th minute.

"Early present on to the next round," Mahrez wrote on Twitter.
