Former Liverpool and Wales striker Ian Rush has spoken out about what Aaron Ramsey told him about his decision to leave Arsenal. The midfielder has agreed terms with Juventus and is set to join Juventus on a free transfer once his deal at Arsenal expires in the summer.
According to Rush, money was not the deciding factor as there is said to be another factor at play, and it doesn't say much about Arsenal and their current direction.
"I spoke to him a couple weeks ago," Rush told Calciomercato
. "He's always been convinced of this choice because he wants to win trophies and Juve has always been the first choice for this. He believes that they have more chances to win than other teams.
"He's a fantastic player, a very reserved person, a man of the family. Juventus care a lot about how their players act off the pitch and he’s a genuine person, the right man for the Bianconeri."
The Old Lady are now regular contenders for the Champions League, and it is up to Unai Emery to ensure that the Gunners return to Europe's elite club competition as soon as possible.
