Cole Palmer a highly regarded young talent surprised many when he made a move from Manchester City to Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea paid an initial fee of £40 million for Palmer, who is currently thriving at his new club. It has now come to light that the 21-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or winger, was motivated to leave Manchester City the Blues in pursuit of more consistent playing time.
A recent report from The Daily Star suggests that one of the primary reasons for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola allowing Palmer to depart was the emergence of Oscar Bobb. The Citizens' manager reportedly sees Bobb as an even more promising prospect than Palmer.
Following their triumphant season, securing the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and FA Cup titles, Manchester City are prepared to offer the 20-year-old Norwegian forward a new contract valued at £36,000 per week. This represents a significant increase from his current weekly earnings of £12,000.
