Report: Fabrizio Romano outlines a concern with a rumored Chelsea manager

Fabrizio Romano has discussed the possible manager options Chelsea would choose to replace former boss Graham Potter.

The Englishman was sacked by the board following the disappointing run with the club since his arrival in September.

Although it appears like the Blues has a wide list of potential candidates in mind to take the position, one thing is for sure Roberto De Zerbi won't be leaving Brighton during the current campaign, as the transfer expert reported.

The Italian manager is rumored to be on Todd Boehly's wishlist following his successful result at the Albion. However, Romano claimed there are almost zero chances that the 43-year-old would make a Stamford Brite switch.

According to the journalist, Julian Nagelsmann remains the leading man who would take charge of the Blues.

“The manager search continues, Nagelsmann remain frontrunner but still waiting on the club to make final decision,” Romano said via CaughtOffside.

“I included Luis Enrique and Ruben Amorim in the list; De Zerbi will not leave Brighton during the season, no updates on the others. The conversation continue to find a solution as soon as possible.”
