Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly considering a return to former club Tottenham Hotspur, who are desperately searching for a new long-term manager this summer.
The Argentinian was sacked in November 2019 and replaced by Jose Mourinho, whose job to finally win Spurs a trophy ended in April after taking the club in the wrong direction.
And now according to
The Sun, Pochettino is contemplating a shock return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 49-year-old is said to have told friends that he would be open to a return to Spurs if the opportunity came up, while chairman Daniel Levy has also confessed to those close to him that sacking Pochettino was the biggest mistake of his career.
Pochettino turned Spurs into genuine title contenders but complained that a lack of financial backing from Levy prevented them from taking the final step towards silverware, and the pair's relationship eventually soured to the point that Pochettino was dismissed.
