Premier League action returns this weekend, and we will see Manchester United take a trip to London to face Fulham while Chelsea engage in yet another London derby when they face league leaders Tottenham away from home.
Premier League Gameweek 11 Predictions
I have made predictions on this weekend's Premier League matches, including the Newcastle United vs Arsenal fixture, and it's vital to know my predictions are not entirely correct as they are based on current form, which could take a swift turn at any time, and gut feelings.
Manchester City vs Bournemouth
It's a walkover for Man City. Football is full of surprises, yep, but if City don't score five goals, that will be a surprise to many.
Prediction: Man City 6-0 Bournemouth
Betting Tip: Home win at halftime
Sheffield United vs Wolves
Nah, the Blades will see out yet another disappointing game. Wolves held Newcastle to a 2-2 draw at home and are likely to outclass Sheffield, thanks to their high-pressing football. It's a clear win for the Wanderers.
Prediction: Sheffield 1-3 Wolves
Betting Tip: Away win
Burnley vs Crystal Palace
This game has a draw written all over it, but there's a catch. Both teams are not in their best shape, but it's Crystal Palace that has better form away from home. Their last trip to a newly promoted side ended in a tight 1-0 win at Sheffield United. Burnley are clearly better, so I expect a draw, but if there's a win, I think Palace would nick it.
Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Crystal Palace
Betting Tip: AWEH
Everton vs Brighton
I don't understand Everton. When you expect them to be outclassed, that's when they turn to Prime Chelsea. I backed West Ham to have an easy ride over them last weekend, but the Hammers came out on top with a 1-0 win and Brighton, who I backed to beat Fulham, drew. Everton have done better away from home, but Brighton haven't impressed in away games either. However, quality-wise, I'll back the Seagulls to win.
Prediction: Everton 1-3 Brighton
Betting Tip: AWEH
Brentford vs West Ham
Nah, straight up a draw game. Both teams look even and have a similar style of play. West Ham wants to recover from last weekend's defeat to Everton at home, while Brentford wants to maintain their 2-0 win at Chelse. I think a draw will be a decent game.
Prediction: Brentford 1-1 West Ham
Betting Tip: BTTS
Newcastle United vs Arsenal
Both teams are playing high-intensity football and are exciting to watch as their teams are enriched with hardworking players who relish any opportunity to press. The Gunners have struggled to dominate games away from home, and Newcastle have struggled in recent weeks. The last time Arsenal visited St James' Park, they won, and I think that's enough motivation for the Magpies to avoid yet another home defeat.
Prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Arsenal
Betting Tip: Any team win and BTTS
Fulham vs Manchester United
Fulham have somewhat struggled to beat Manchester United since gaining their promotion back to the Premier League. I expect a tough game as always, but Man United will need a response following their embarrassing defeat at home to city rivals, Man City.
Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Man United
Betting Tip: BTTS
Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa
This is a tricky game. Nottingham show up occasionally, and I doubt they will show up in this game. Villa are struggling to dominate Premier League away games, and Nottingham will want to make it hard for Unai Emery's side. A draw is on the cards but I'll go for a tight away win.
Prediction: Nottingham 1-2 Aston Villa
Betting Tip: AWEH
Luton Town vs Liverpool
It's going to be an easy ride for Liverpool, who smashed Nottingham 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday. Luton have struggled this term, and I expect them to repeat the same struggles this weekend.
Prediction: Luton Town 0-3 Liverpool
Betting Tip: Away win and Over 2.5 goals
Tottenham vs Chelsea
This is a tough game but Chelsea have underperformed in recent games. I maintain that if Jackson leads Chelsea's attacking line, Spurs will win but if Mauricio Pochettino plays him, I'll expect a win for Spurs and recent Pochettino's team news suggest Jackson will take part in this game, hence a potential win for Tottenham.
Prediction: Spurs 2-0 Chelsea
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 goals
