Possible Liverpool starting lineup in 2025 would be perfect with £90m striker

Liverpool used their youngest ever side for a Champions League fixture when they faced Midtjylland on Wednesday evening, and when Billy Koumetio replaced Fabinho during the half time interval, it got even younger. So, the future is beyond bright for the Merseyside club. ECHO took a look at what Liverpool would look like in 2025, and the starting lineup would only be perfect with one striker: Erling Haaland. Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to captain the team, as just at the age of 22, he is closing in on his 150th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions. As Caoimhin Kelleher is only 47 days younger then Alexander-Arnold, he might have made the number one jersey very much his own by 2025. And Joe Gomez could easily be stationed to Trent’s left, as it’s all too easy to forget the former Charlton man, who joined Liverpool over five years ago, is still only 23-years-old. Perhaps Billy Koumetio or Rhys Williams, neither of whom will be older than 24, will be alongside Gomez in 2025. Andy Robertson would be 31 in the year 2025 but considering the fullbacks talents, he could become the new James Milner, stepping in as experienced deputy for anywhere Klopp needs. In the meantime, Adam Lewis will have hoped to break into the team by then as he is currently on loan wat Ligue 2 club Amiens and signed an improved deal in July this year. In midfield, Curtis Jones will surely be one of the first names on the team sheet in 2025, as the 19-year-old has really started to develop into a first team regular this season. And after his fine performance on Wednesday, Leighton Clarkson might accompany Jones in the Reds’ midfield of the future. Harvey Elliott, who has played more than half an hour in the Championship this season, has already assisted four goals, a tally only five players in the second tier can top (per WhoScored). In the attack Diogo Jota will be younger then than Firmino is now, so there’s no reason to think the Portuguese star won’t still be in the Liverpool team at that point. The lineup will be complete if Erling Haaland or maybe, Kylian Mbappe join the Reds. Given the market prices they have today, it's more likely to have Haaland in front of the Reds attack in future.
