Amid an intense search for a Chelsea successor manager, the club approached Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP.
The 38-year-old coach was linked with Chelsea earlier this season before Graham Potter was appointed club manager. Despite the speculations about his move, Amorim insisted that he is happy with his current job and revealed nothing about his future plans in west London.
It has been revealed via Express UK, that the club owner Todd Boehly had a “direct talk” with the Sporting Lisbon coach. Last year the Portuguese manager was targeted to replace Pochettino at PSG.
