France 3-1 win over Russia has become the first match in which Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has scored and assisted a goal.

Didier Deschamps made seven changes from the side that lost 3-2 to Colombia on Friday, including midfielder Pogba being recalled from the bench.

Pogba scored a 30-yard-free-kick and Kylian Mbappe netted twice as France beat Russia in St Petersburg.

The French player dedicated his goal to his late father by revealing a shirt reading: “Happy birthday Papa.”
