Pep Guardiola has opened up on his possible successor at Manchester City after his exit, though that man has already left Etihad.
Since joining the Citizens back in 2016, Guardiola has played a key role in the club's success. He has won four Premier League trophies, four English League Cups, two English Supercups, and one FA Cup with the team.
Sooner or later, Guardiola would leave City, with his current contract expiring on June 30, 2025.
In the pre-match conference ahead of the FA Cup game with Arsenal, Guardiola was asked to name a possible candidate that could replace him at Etihad.
“I’m pretty sure if I leave (had left) before, he (Mikel Arteta) would be here (at Manchester City). He’d be the best (to succeed me) absolutely. I extend the contract, sorry, and he went (to Arsenal),” the manager said, via City Xtra.
