How Paul Pogba impacted Matthijs de Ligt's Juventus transfer

Matthijs de Ligt is finally set to join Juventus despite a late attempt to snare him from Barcelona. According to Spanish daily Marca, Paul Pogba’s and De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola was desperate to negotiate a release clause in De Ligt’s deal with Juventus, due to the current predicament he is facing with Pogba. Pogba is keen to leave United but the club slapped a £150million price tag on the player. The saga involving Pogba and United ultimately meant that the agent insisted on a release clause being included in the deal taking De Ligt to Juventus to avoid a repeat.
