Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explains why Harry Kane to Manchester United transfer never happened

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has disclosed a list of football talents, whom he had aimed to sign during his tenure at Old Trafford but couldn't secure.

Solskjaer was dismissed in November 2021 following a string of poor results and has expressed his regret over the club's inability to acquire his top targets like Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham,

One of the names mentioned by the former United manager was England national team star Harry Kane, who joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham this summer.

Speaking about Kane, Solskjaer revealed the main reason behind the forward's failed transfer to Old Trafford during his managerial spell.

"I would have signed [Harry] Kane every day of the week and my understanding was that he wanted to come. But the club didn’t have the budget with the financial constraints from Covid-19, there was no bottomless pit," he said, via GOAL
