Ole Gunnar Solskjaer explains Paul Pogba benching in the Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed why he decided to leave Paul Pogba on the bench for the final round of the Champions League against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night. Pogba wants to leave the Red Devils. On Monday, the midfielder's agent Mino Raiola revealed that his client wanted to leave United due to being unhappy with his current role. Pogba played full 90 minutes in United's 3-1 win over West Ham during the weekend and scored one goal. "We need a team that's flexible, a team with legs and we need experience because it's a big game," Solskjaer said. He's since added to BT Sport: “My decisions tonight are tactical. We made a team decision. “We made it before this game and we decided on Scott and Nemanja in that midfield before we played West Ham. “For me you prepare for every single game as if it’s your last one. We know we’ve got City on Saturday but that doesn’t matter, this is the one for us now we’re focused on this one.” United went on to lose with a 3-2 score and were knocked out of the Champions League as they finished 3rd in their group. source - Express / Join us on Telegram
