Noel Whelan claims some Tottenham key players could leave the club unless things change

Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan believes key players could leave Tottenham unless things change. Pochettino’s side have endured a poor start to the season so far, and there had been numerous rumours on some key players leaving the club in January. Harry Kane is one of the few players at Spurs that no matter what, is in an excellent form and continues to strike for the club. In an interview with Football Insider, Whelan has praised Spurs’ captain: “In my opinion, he (Kane) is your overall complete striker, he has everything you would want for a striker. The kid is just brilliant and that’s why Tottenham need to be wary as if they don’t produce this season or start winning some sort of silverware, them sort of players will be going. They may have just built a new stadium, Harry Kane is wanted by a lot of teams, it might not come out publicly, but Roy Keane said it ‘go get Kane’ (he said it on Sky Sports). There are not many centre-forwards out there like Harry Kane that can do what he can do.”
