Newcastle fans react to Mateta links

Newcastle have made a €28m bid for Mainz forward Jean-Philippe Mateta in the summer transfer window. The striker has been scored 14 goals in his debut season in the Bundesliga and three goals for France, playing in under-21 international squad. The club attempted to sign the 21-year-old during the last window, according to Sport Bild, via The Chronicle.
