Mikel Arteta rates Martin Odegaard’s full Arsenal debut after Leeds United win

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has spoken out on Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard after he made his full debut in the Gunners win over Leeds United on Sunday. Odegaard joined Arsenal during the January transfer window on loan from Madrid and made his full debut for the Gunners against Leeds. Mikel Arteta's side celebrated a 4-2 victory over Marcelo Bielsa's side as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a hat-trick while Hetor Bellerin also got his name on the scoresheet. Pascal Strujik and Helder Costa scored for Leeds. Odegaard started from the first minutes and was replaced at the 78th minute as Mohamed Elneny came to replace him. Asked to rate Odegaard’s display, Arteta said: "Big credit to him. His first Premier League start against Leeds, considering he’s not played much football in three months, he was great. "To run the way he did, the way he was comfortable and creative on the ball and the personality he showed was great." source - Metro / Join us on Telegram
