Mikel Arteta has given an injury update on William Saliba ahead of Arsenal's clash against Southampton on Saturday.
Following the back-to-back draws against Liverpool and West Ham, the Gunners will be eager to return into winning run as the title race continues to heat up.
The North Londoners are currently standing at the top of the table with 74 points with a four-point gap above the second-placed Manchester City who are yet to place a game in hand.
Ahead of the meeting, the Spaniard manager held a pre-match press conference where he provided the latest update on the France international fitness.
According to Arteta, the club are still need to wait more as the defender is not progressing 'as quick as they hoped'.
“Regarding William, we still have to wait a little bit more. He’s not progressing as quick as we hoped, it’s a bit delicate & we want to be very certain when we push him, he’s ready to absorb the load & risk. At the moment, that’s not possible to do.”
