Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has talked about defender Juan Foyth and claimed that he will get a chance at his squad.
The 21-year-old Argentine has been struggling with injury since pre-season and hasn’t featured in any game this season so far. But he started in Argentina’s recent fixtures against Germany and Ecuador.
Pochettino has told Football London that Foyth will be back in contention to play against Watford this weekend.
“He’s young, it was good for him after his injury and everything to have the possibility to play with Argentina. He played against Germany and Ecuador, always it's good,” said Spurs boss. He’s in the squad. We have plenty of players in that position on the pitch. For sure, working hard, he’s going to have his opportunities to play. I’m sure all the squad is going to be involved with six games in 22 days, we need all the squad. I am happy because he performed well with Argentina and that always helps to build his confidence.”
Should Foyth return to the squad it will ultimately fix Tottenham’s issue at right-back.
Spurs’ upcoming clash will be against Watford on Saturday.
