Mark Bosnich backs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to stay at Old Trafford

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich says the club coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs more time to improve the Red Devils’ game. United will face Liverpool in their next Premier League match on Sunday. The Red Devils started a terrible season, sitting on the 12th place near the relegation zone, while Liverpool are the leaders, having won all eight games of the league season. United’s another loss will add more pressure towards Solskjaer, so that he could be sacked after the seven months of his management. But Bosnich thinks the Red Devils need to give much more time to the coach, as Liverpool did with Jurgen Klopp. The latter was appointed four years ago and it took time to lead the Reds to their nowadays fortunate game. Speaking on Thursday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the former goalkeeper said: “They haven’t had a good start, we know that, there’s a lot of pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the whole club. There’s a lot of talk from Manchester United fans about whether Solskjaer should stay or go, but you’ve got to have some patience. What are they going to do, just keep sacking managers year-in, year-out? You’ve got to give the man a go! Jurgen Klopp has had four years at Liverpool, and it hasn’t even been a year since Ole was appointed – you’ve got to give him time!” If Liverpool win the Sunday’s clash against United, they would reach two records, having nine wins in the Premier League as the best start ever and winning run of 18 wins on the trot after Manchester City’s record.
