Marcus Rashford is set to face a substantial financial penalty from the club after his absence from training and Manchester United's FA Cup fixture against Newport County, citing illness, despite being spotted at a club.
The 26-year-old was absent from training on Friday, following his presence at a nightclub in Belfast alongside his friend and former youth teammate Ro-Shaun Williams on Wednesday night.
Despite having to return to training the following day, Rashford was reportedly spotted at another nightclub on Thursday evening. However, the Englishman failed to report for training on Friday, claiming illness and consequently missed the FA Cup match on Sunday.
He is expected to be penalized with a hefty £650,000 fine, which amounts to two weeks' worth of his wages, for his actions.
