Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford has revealed his ambition to break Wayne Rooney's goal record for Manchester United.
Rooney is United's all-time leading goal scorer, having netted 253 times in 559 appearances for the Red Devil. Rashord, on the other hand, has scored 123 goals in 359 appearances across all competitions. According to the 25-year-old Rooney himself encouraged him to chase his record.
'You never know what's going to happen, but I'm all about scoring goals and trying to make assists. There's a chance that it can happen" said the England international.
Rashford admitted that before the previous season his aim was to score up to 20 goals, but after becoming one of the top scorers of the Premier League's last campaign, his benchmark has moved up.
In his most successful season yet, the United winger acquired an impressive tally of 30 goals in 55 appearances for the Red Devils in the 2022/23 football season
"If I can keep that side of it under taps, I feel like I can go on and get 35 or 40" hopes Rashford.
