Marcus Rashford praises Bulgarian Captain as he confronted racist fans

Marcus Rashford has praised Bulgarian captain Ivelin Popov after England’s 6 - 0 win in the EURO 2020 qualifier last night. During the clash, England players were suffering from racist chants of the hosts so that the referee had to stop the game twice in the first half. Then Ivelin Popov himself tried to stop the abuse, speaking with Bulgarian fans. Rashford, being among the scorers of the match, appreciated Popov's actions after the game, posting praise towards the 31-year old on his Twitter account. He wrote: “Also been told what the Bulgaria captain did at half-time. To stand alone and do the right thing takes courage and acts like that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
