Manchester United want "next Virgil van Dijk" who knocked them out of Europa League

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Jules Kounde. The 22-year-old defender helped Sevilla to knock the Red Devils out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage last season. Kounde, who can also operate as a right-back, has formed a solid partnership with Diego Carlos. That's why Sevilla will not let Kounde leave for anything less than his £68million release clause. The Mail claim the Red Devils are unwilling to meet Sevilla’s valuation, but will continue to monitor him. United have buckled under pressure in the transfer window before when they brought in Harry Maguire for £80m, a world-record fee for a defender in 2019. Kounde came through the ranks at Bordeaux and made 55 Ligue 1 appearances, before joining Sevilla for £21.6m in 2019.
