Manchester United held transfer talks for Bundesliga ace with 19 goal contributions

Manchester United have reportedly shown interest in acquiring the services of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen at the conclusion of the season. 

The 22-year-old has emerged as a crucial player for the Bundesliga outfit capturing the attention of the Red Devils with his performances.

Erik ten Hag aims to bolster his right-back option Frimpong could be a valuable long-term addition to their squad. On the other hand, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a potential departure from Old Trafford due to reduced playing time and it is believed that he may need to seek opportunities elsewhere for consistent game time.

Therefore, the Bayer ace would be a perfect alternative for the Manchester giants the player's rumored desire to make a return to the Premier League after his departure from Manchester City in 2019.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano stated that positive negotiations have taken place between United and the player's representatives for a potential transfer.

“They had a meeting with the agent of the player, it was one month ago. It was a positive meeting. Frimpong is giving priority to Premier League football in general. He would love to return to Manchester, he was in the Manchester City academy. He appreciates the city and the lifestyle there.” Romano calimed via Caught Offside.
