Manchester United are planning to make a move for Benfica's striker Goncalo Ramos, according to the latest report by Daily Mirror.
Ramos has been in excellent form this season, scoring 17 goals in 27 league games. Due to his outstanding performance during the 2022 World Cup knockout stages against Switzerland last December, the Portuguese star drew the attention of several clubs across Europe.
The report claims United board have now identified the 21-year-old as a promising talent for the future, and the club is expected to hold discussions with Benfica to secure a deal worth more than €100 million, including add-ons.
It is believed that Ramos is considered an additional transfer option and is not among manager Erik ten Hag's top choices as an alternative to Tottenham's Harry Kane, who remains United's primary target this summer.
