Manchester United will not be sacking Erik ten Hag despite their recent derby defeat to Manchester City. The club's hierarchy continues to have faith in him, accodring to Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils suffered a 3-0 loss to their cross-city rivals, leaving them in eighth place in the Premier League after five losses in their first 10 matches, an unusual position for the team.
While there have been calls for Ten Hag's dismissal, he still has under two years left on his current contract, with the option of an additional year.
It seems that, for now, there is no strong desire to part ways with Ten Hag. The report claims Chief Executive Richard Arnold has expressed that the club believes they are making "good progress" under Ten Hag, despite the challenging start to the season. Arnold was present at the defeat to Man City at Old Trafford.
The match was uncomfortable for Ten Hag as fans expressed dissatisfaction with some of his decisions, including the initial lineup and a substitution that was met with boos from the crowd.
