Manchester United agree personal terms with Premier League star who may cost £60m

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is close to joining Manchester United this summer after agreeing to personal terms with the club, according to the latest report by The Guardian.

The Red Devils' manager Erik ten Hag is seeking more dynamism in midfield and has been impressed by Mount's skills for that role. Other clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich have also been keeping an eye on the situation.

Chelsea's ownership has a policy of not retaining players whose contracts are close to expiration, and this includes Mason Mount, whose current deal expires next year. The Blues' new head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep the England international, but it seems that several United players expect to play alongside him in the upcoming season.

Although a transfer fee has not been agreed upon, the report claims Chelsea are expected to demand a minimum of £60 million for the 24-year-old player.
