Manchester City are chasing the “New Cristiano Ronaldo” from Sporting Lisbon, according to The Sun.
The 19-year-old Rafael Leao is one of the Primeira Liga side’s hottest prospects.
In February the reported price tag on Leao's head was £22.5million but after the crisis at Sporting, he would now be available completely free.
The Manchester Evening News reports that City could pay a small compensation fee to Sporting to avoid any legal issues surrounding the player terminating his own contract.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked to Leao, who scored his first goal for the club against fierce rivals Porto in March.
