Manchester City's defensive midfielder Rodri, has dismissed the idea of a future transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Despite a recent suspension that coincided with his team's three-game losing streak in all competitions, the Spainard, who secured a treble with his club last season, isn't entertaining the notion of a lucrative move outside of Europe as he nears the end of his career.
When asked about the possibility of leaving Europe for a substantial payday, Rodri responded, that he is focused on enjoying the present moment.
"I never imagined playing in the Premier League and upon arriving it has been very positive," he told Cadena Ser. Spain is my country and we'll see. I move a lot for sporting challenges; I want to win and I came here for that and I am very happy."
As for moving to the Saudi Pro League, the 27-year-old said: "It is very difficult for me to be attracted to a challenge like Arabia because I have sporting ambitions."
