After a long period of over 18 months, Mason Greenwood might finally receive a decisive update on his footballing future following confidential discussions with Manchester United.
The 21-year-old talented forward has been absent from the team since his arrest in January 2022 on charges of attempted rape, assault, and controlling behavior. However, these charges were later dropped, allowing him to continue his career.
Since the initial arrest, Erik ten Hag's side suspended Greenwood from playing, but recent talks with their major sponsor, Adidas, seem to have gone well. According to The Sun, a source revealed that Adidas has shown positive indications, suggesting that they would not strongly oppose Greenwood's return to the team.
While there are still decisions to be made, the possibility of the 21-year-old's comeback now seems more plausible with the backing of the major sponsor.
